Jason Taylor told the Miami Dolphins that he wanted to be traded. He claimed that he could get his dancing career off the ground better in a city where the weather was not as humid as Miami.
On Sunday the Dolphins completed a deal to send Taylor to the Washington Redskins. Once there on Monday, Taylor will begin working out with his new teammates. Before any of that happens, a contract will have to be worked out with the Redskins.
It has been reported that in the deal Taylor wants sixteen dance lessons paid for by the team. They will be held during mini camp, a camp in which Taylor would not have to attend under the deal.
He also has advised his agent that he will only play two Sunday's a month. This is to be done so he can clear his schedule to enter various weekend dance offs around the country.
When asked what he will bring to the Redskins defense, he replied, "Did you see my moves on Dancing With The Stars? There is not a lineman in the league that can stop me once I break out into the foxtrot."
The Dolphins have finally rid themselves of Taylor. Bill Parcells has been upset with Taylor since signing on to do Dancing With The Stars. "As soon as he signed to do that show," said Parcells, "I knew he was too much of a girl to play football for me."
It is not yet known whether the Redskins will give in to Taylor's demands. Rumors are circulating that Taylor has already contacted producers for So You Think You Can Dance in order to become a judge if football does not work out this season.
